A person who has already been baptised into the community of faith that is the Church and received the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion, now continues their initiation in this life of faith as a disciple of Jesus Christ through preparing for and receiving the sacrament of Confirmation. In the Diocese of Wollongong it is offered to Catholic children in Year 6 and upwards.
