The Sacrament of Reconciliation is an integral part of the Christian life,
acknowledging our need to confess our wrong doing
and receive the mercy of the Lord – which is always freely given
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available before Thursday 6pm Mass ( 5.30pm) and on Saturday 6pm Vigil Mass (from 5.20pm to 5.50pm) or ring the office to make an appointment.
Children in Year 2 and up who have been baptised in the Catholic Church may be able to begin their preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation when they begin to understand that they sometimes make poor choices that prevent them from living in the freedom of a child of God. We call these poor choices sins.
Once a child has celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation which restores them in their relationship with God and the community, they are able to then receive the sacrament of Eucharist (First Holy Communion), where they receive the Body of our Lord Jesus under the form of bread.
